Re: Bill Jones books ISBN

I've no idea. If someone doesn't beat me to it i'll check my books after work. I bought my copies in 2001 or 2002 i think so mine may not have it on them.

It's not pump gas, he's a little smarter than that.

Re: BBC Open chamber heads

Also, he already has the pistons and the block has been final honed. They're Ross 99555 pistons with a 57.1cc dome volume and a dome height of .700".
Will these fit a 112cc chamber?

Re: Carbureter Return Regulator Plumbing

I parallel the headers and transmission for quite a stretch and never addressed the heat issue. I used a copper/nickle hard line from my mechanical fuel pump up to the carburetor. Because of the clearance issues i have with the power steering pump and bracket this was the best way because i was abl...

Re: BBC Open chamber heads

No street racing going on here. Probably go with some AFR's. We'll look at what's available and do some calculations.

BBC Open chamber heads

A friend is building a .100" over 427 stock stroke for a street car. It'll be a solid roller and run around 7200-7500 rpm. Looking for recommendations on open chamber, 118cc ish, aluminum heads.

Re: Carbureter Return Regulator Plumbing

I can’t explain why the car was slower with the bypass after the regulator because the fuel pressure didn’t waiver.
The higher pressure raises the boiling or vapor point. Maybe your 5.5 psi pump was working hard to maintain the pressure but the fuel wasn't as dense due to engine heat..idk

Re: cranking psi rule

There's no doubt the program's today are very useful and a necessity to have but at the same time Mike has more than enough experience to recommend a cam and compression ratio before buying parts so you don't take the chance of having to compromise the compression or cam after the fact.

Re: pontiac build

Based on what i've read and videos i've watched the stock intake manifolds do pretty well. If you're using iron heads i'd probably stay with a stock intake. I think the coolant bypass from the left rear head to the intake manifold is worth while to even out the cooling. I used a #8 PTFE hose on mine...
