That is the upper plug.

Re: Ford 6.2 potential

Here are just a few pics. You can the inspiration from the Cammer in the rocker arm placement... They actually in my opinion made it better due to lowering the cam under the rockershaft's making it a narrower head. The rocker arm ratios are 1.53 for the 6.2 compared to the 1.3 of Cammer... The Camme...

Re: Opinions wanted.... more lift equal more power ?

I would say that you would see a decent gain due to the lobes being more aggressive. You are opening the valve more at any given rate of duration... What would be nice is to see the duration @ .200" lift of the two cams . Let us know what you come up with!

Re: Ported LS3 10 degree heads

You know me... I'm a Die hard Ford man...but those LS3 heads rock! Good work! I'm sure you will pick up even more as you go... It's completely different starting out with a head that is "big" to start with!

Good luck look forward to seeing more..

Re: Ford 6.2 potential

I remember back in 2009-2010 when I was at SAM we had a set of those heads show up. With some welding on the roof of the port around the spring pocket we got them to flow over 400cfm. Later that week a couple guys showed up to the school, took the heads with them, and nothing was ever said about th...

Re: Ford 6.2 potential

Thanks for the info, A guy that we know Todd Warren who is big in specing cams for Mod motors has found a source for the billit blanks for these engines... livernois doesn't publish specs for their cams... I read in the thread that was linked above. That the cams he was was running had a 118 LSA... ...

Re: Ford 6.2 potential

There is no doubt... I'm concerned with the Rocker Arms... The small hyd lash adjuster in the tip of the Rocker limits lift to around .600 lift. We will be working on a solution for that... When comparing to the GM counter parts that are making 700hp... They have the penalty of having heavy hyd roll...

Re: Dragster Engine

One idea I have been toying with... I wish I could find someone who has a set of 427 SOHC valve covers... If you see my thread on here about building the new Ford 6.2 SOHC... I would love to see if I could adapt a set of Cammer covers to fit the new engine and Fab up a new timing cover to create my ...

Re: Ford 6.2 potential

When we get our adapters finished I will post pics and maybe we can make that happen! I'm wanting to build a milder street version for my truck and run a tunnel ram... There was a guy that swapped one in a Fox body mustang.. it had a completely stock bottom end with heads that were just cleaned up a...

Re: Ford 6.2 potential

We are having our own intake adapters made... We are going to run a Yates Style intake.. Our plan is to run small block nitrous races... My buddy is having the block Sonic tested.. to see how far we can go safely on the bore.... Our biggest decision is on the crankshaft.. We are building this engine...
