Brain Fart, they dont have both taps on a pipe plug, but some do have more on the front to start with that will make it harder to enlarge threads enough to pipe plug to fit. Kootos for not giving up. Nice to see someone with OCD like me :} Good luck, lets us know how it goes, try a both taps and be careful with the bottoming tap, you might get luck, might have to tap a little and grind off the end of tap to make it right size without going too deep.

Stop by a gas station in Il. and they got rid of it at two of there stores and Lady there said it wasn't something about enviromental friendly lol, But what about all the other lower ethanal blends, sale a huge amount of it.

If all else fails try a tiny bit bigger Idle restriction.

Had one flowed while back and around .550 lift port got loud but picked up some all the way up, like 5 cfm per.100 lift. I had a set of Crane cams variable lifters years ago, after some street miles the 292 cam would almost idle smooth when oil was hot, slowed way down too, but had great throttle response, that was about it.

Why is one Jewel lower then the other? To fit all parts in the chassis.

I saw a local carb guy sand roll the top all the way smooth and it looked CnCed , might of used a multiflap wheel thingy lol. Pic shows a small void in the venturi.
