I'm using a canton 13-334 with 10778 melling pump and 10-30 oil in my 505 with no issues. Your pan is very similar to the one i'm using but my pickup is only 5/16 from the bottom of the pan. I've never run one that far from the bottom and that could be the issue.
What part number pan? Avoid restrictors if possible since it will see highway driving, you will need more oil to the springs to keep them cool during long running periods.

I always put filters on the pressure side of the pump. Had a customer put one on the suction side and promptly burned a hole threw the side of the head on a blown alcohol sbc once. Changed location and no problems since.
I'm using the Elgin black ice long slot rockers at .540 lift and 7400rpm with good results in my circle track builds. I replace them every 40-50 nights and rarely see a failure.
I've used them in 10+ engines that turn around 6800-7200 with no problems, but these all had light pistons and under 420 horsepower. Mainly factory stock dirt engines and mild street builds.

If it's a N/A application could you put the piston .060 out the deck with a .100 Cometic gasket. That would give you a little more room to fit the ring pack. I've done this on antique pull tractor builds to add a little more stroke.
Nothing to indicate any butting of the rings top or second. I have not checked the gaskets yet but it's a felpro mls gasket i will check that later today for water port alignment. Clearance was set at spec plus .0012 extra i'll check what it is now also

This is a 590 BB Chevy pull truck engine that just came in for freshening. I've watched some of his pulls and the truck bounces down the track loading and unloading and bouncing off the rev limiter at 8400 on almost every pull may have something to do with this or tuneup is off i don't know for sure...
