Re: 6.135 rod with 4.600 bore bbc
You're betting a $2800 block and set of custom pistons vs a set of 50 year old stock rods so you can save $300 or so.

Re: Temperature Increase on Highway
Make sure you have one of these thermostats. Too much flow from higher rpm will close a standard thermostat leading to a slow temp gain.

SB Chevy Dart block and 18 deg dart heads solid roller cam was .007 tighter cold. BB Chrysler Indy aluminum short deck block and solid cast aluminum 440-1 head...

Seat cutter for 40 degree exhaust
I'm doing a valve job on a set of 5.2 ford voodoo heads and just found that the exhaust seat is 40 degree. Does anyone have a part number for a cutter bit that will work on these seats?

2011 Chevrolet equinox block
Got in a 2011 2.4 direct injected block that needs to go oversize. Does this have an iron liner or is it coated aluminum. Mahle shows std .50 .75 and 1.00 mm over. Also do the cylinders move a lot like the LS and need a torque plate.

Re: Are the new flat tappet cams really that bad of quality?
True, but those are large diameter lifter, no rocker arm to increase force on the lifter, and usually light spring pressures to start with. Apples to oranges comparing them to a BB Chevy engine.hoffman900 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 4:55 pm There are millions of OHC on bucket valvetrains out there still. They are “flat tappet”.
