88 T-Bird Turbo Coupe

Don and I bought a 1 owner turbo coupe in 2010. It was a car I had owned in 88. It is in great condition and has never seen a winter. Always garaged and well maintained. https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sal ... chRadius=0

Re: In Memory of Don Terrill

Thanks everyone! The good news is I have until the end of 2019 to decide what to do. The server cost is 159/month and the server management is 29/month with a minimal amount of tickets. I appreciate every ST member and your efforts to help keep Don's legacy alive. God bless you!

How to land a primary Sponsor

Hi Skip, Getting a primary sponsor is certainly the better way to get funded. But most teams, unless it's on a professional level, are doing exactly what you are doing. Lots of sponsors. Phil Veldheer, aka Sponsorship Coach, has many sponsors. The positive of this method is that if one fails to rene...

Starting a sponsorship search

Hi, Many ideas but first of all you need to put together some things about your team. Where are you racing? What are your demographics? Who will benefit from sponsoring you? Then you want to make contacts and let everyone know you are serious about your racing! I don't know if you've bought the &quo...

Getting physically fit for racing

We have an exciting weekend planned in February. We are visiting the Kart Expo in Chicago to see speaker Jim Leo with PitFit Training. Jim will be doing an seminar on being a fit driver.

Phil Veldeer and getting sponsorship

This guy is just nonstop! I understand he has had a very successful month. One thing you have to remember, you don't have to always barter for engine parts or oil. Keep an open mind to some of the everyday expenses such as eye glasses or dining out. The money you don't have to spend on these things ...

Sponsorship help for Janet

Hi Janet,

Have you tried any of the programs out there to get sponsorship?

One thing I would recommend is don't undersell yourself. Also, what are you offering these sponsors? What do you guys do beside race at the tracks?

More Q&A with the coach

Mr. Veldheer I recently purchased your CD on the Sponsorship Coach. I really like what you have done and I am in the process of putting a proposal book together. I would like to ask you a question. I have a couple of businesses I would like to approach about some advertisement on my NHRA stocker. I ...

US Army sponsorship

Dana, Congratulations on getting your foot in the door! The bottom line with any sponsorship success is creating a partnership. Remember that they want to get some benefit from this. I am not sure at what level you race, but regardless, you have a great demographic for the U.S. Army. Not only do you...

Show off your car

Lots of good ideas were given by Nina Murphy in her interview. But one I have never thought of is taking your race car to a fund raiser car wash! Support the community while getting media coverage. That's the way to do it!
