Re: before/after 383 dyno results
How much gain do you want to see from this combination? What would be considered successful? I'm just curious, it looks like there is a fair amount left on the table

Re: vortec 6000 cam bearings
Yes, had that happen when they sent me cam bearings for the wrong block type, there is like 3-4 different cam bearing sets used over the years, if you have an early block the later ones will not go in without a lot of force

Re: Cam Specs - and other

You can have the same LSA on a bunch different camshafts and have different valve events for every one of them....

Re: Are thin piston rings worth horsepower?
I have a set of Probe FPS forged pistons in a 388 street/strip engine i built 8 years ago and it has the 5/64-5/64-3/16 ring package, you had to spend another couple hundred dollars for forged pistons with skinnier ring grooves at the time atleast for shelf pistons. This engine made 504hp at 57-5900...

Re: GM -140 “off road” cam
That's one of those factory racing parts like cross ram intakes and 292 turbo heads that were pretty awesome back in the 70's and it makes for a cool conversation piece or if you were trying to build a vintage race motor using factory parts i can see why you would use it but man you could probably t...

Re: BEST SPARK PLUG WIRES
I had a customer accidentally buy solid core wires for a 470 Pontiac i built and my dyno operator almost started buying new parts for the dyno until we figured out what was going on lol
Ive never had an issue with spiral core wires on the dyno i mainly use.
