Re: Anyone design, build, and sell there there own intakes?
If you prefer to do everything in secrecy, you could learn a lot from this guy. If you look at his channel, he goes over everything you'd need to cast an intake at home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEtIexjl6ao Over the years, he's tried a lot of techniques and equipment and gravitated toward lo...

Re: Anyone design, build, and sell there there own intakes?
Tjs44 good looking intake and glad to hear your getting them sold quickly. To build mine again it would take way to long for me to maintain any sanity, I hope to find some good guys to work with here on the east coast and still see a profit if I can sell them. BCJohnny wont lie the copycats are a co...

Anyone design, build, and sell there there own intakes?
Have been working on a design for SBF that is looking promising and we are expecting an excellent midrange without much or any lose in lower or upper rpm compared to a normal single plane, but wont know for sure until we can get some dyno time. My question is those that have done all the work to get...

Re: Gm Fast Burn vs Ebay 200 Dart Pro 1 Copy
have had some of the ebay heads come thru but they were for ford. I did not flow them but i know they were a dart copy and seemed to hear from an old contact that they flowed roughly the same ( 260ish at .600?). Id wager the sbc ebay heads are not much different from there dart equivalent . Now what...

Re: Benefits of tapered quench for NA applications?
Has anyone done tapered quench on a chamber without a mill or CNC? I'm thinking of how to apply it without expensive machinery, even if I had to make up guides and jigs, but can't quite picture how to do it Not saying it wouldn't work without a machine but I'd think you'd have so much time and mone...

Re: Future of head porting
As a younger guy, I’d have a hard time justifying hundreds of thousands of dollars or more in buying machines, to only make a marginal profit margin and a dubious future. If I had the talent, I would be looking at having my machines and time work on more profitable ventures. I feel that way about c...

Re: Future of head porting
I’am 66 and I had to get into porting and learn and research about how to properly do what’s needed because for my brand of favorite motor there where no aftermarket heads for too long of a time and the best factory high performance heads of the time where still no match for even a BBC oval port he...

Re: Future of head porting
26 and doing porting and flow bench work, as for stuff being passed down I have not gotten that much passed down but the little that has I'm thankful for, but I am writing everything down I find in engine work and porting for my son for when he is older and if he would like to do anything like I do ...

Re: Sparking head gasket
I believe the problem that you run into is what happens when you need to change the "spark gasket". If they could make one last longer than normal head gaskets I'd say it would be a great step.

Re: Sparking head gasket
Someone had done something like this to a SBF in the 90's if I remember correctly, Think I was reading about it in one of Vizards books awhile back. Seems like Fel-pro bought the patent and it ended there.
