Re: Methanol Injection

I have several customers that use it in daily driver VW’s as well as a few other makes. It works fine theirs turn on at higher boost levels to make up for pump gas irregularities. Just keep an eye on the level if you do a good bit of spirited driving

Re: air fuel ratio gauge in circle track cockpit

Go pro will your best bet. We use them to watch shocks etc. the newer hp tuners can Bluetooth to the go pro and you can put the telemetry on screen while watching the laps. On my sons car we us it to monitor tps and rpm to help him learn throttle control. On the midgets we’ll watch shocks and Jacobs...

Re: Engine Oil

I agree I have been a brad penn advocate but earlier this season when I pulled the pan on my sons circle track motor I was very disappointed with what I saw. I’ve been trying to find a suitable alternative now. I’ve used the Brad penn for years and was always impressed, but something has changed not...

The z06 Vettes came dry sump in the C6 generation from the factory although not belt driven. I ran a ex cup sbf engine in my mustang for a few years that was dry sump still ran the a/c and power steering as well as a belt drive timing setup and never experienced any issues.

Re: MPFI with 16 injectors

On the bike based engines we use in dirt track cars we use individual runners with one smaller injector after the throttle blade then at 8k rpm we turn on the larger “shower” injectors which are above the blades housed in the top of the air filter assembly. Keep in mind these are on methanol so the ...

Re: How to make hard tires hook?

The go kart world is full of tire preps that work well, one particular favorite of mine that keeps them hazing over is goat pee. It comes from a guy in Indiana that specializes in tire preps. You can also put the treatment inside the tire so it continuously soaks. Age has a lot to do with durometer ...

Turbo would be easy I’ve done several on the trucks, the ON3 kit is a pos, muffler shop can do nicer work than the one I installed for what you pay for them. Texas speed has some nice truck cams that work well with the truck Intake. Freshen it up get a decent cam do a little headwork. These engines ...

Could the crank flex be what’s causing the piston scuffs? Since its opposite ends of same bank maybe it’s rocking the pistons?

Use right stuff sealant if the ends are fairly high above the block, it will actually cure up to 1” gap unlike regular silicones.

Re: TOYOTA Camry?

Depends if there’s a rust ridge at the top and bottom of wear area I’d do rotors otherwise it will dust and be noisy. The gold line from zone is pretty fair, if you do rotors get coated ones to help with the aforementioned rust issues.
