Re: A Cincinnati shop that can drill some additional oil passages

Re: 6.0 Silverado tq build

Turbo would be easy I’ve done several on the trucks, the ON3 kit is a pos, muffler shop can do nicer work than the one I installed for what you pay for them. Texas speed has some nice truck cams that work well with the truck Intake. Freshen it up get a decent cam do a little headwork. These engines ...

Re: Diagnosing damage

Could the crank flex be what’s causing the piston scuffs? Since its opposite ends of same bank maybe it’s rocking the pistons?

Re: Over Machined intake Manifold Help

Use right stuff sealant if the ends are fairly high above the block, it will actually cure up to 1” gap unlike regular silicones.

Re: TOYOTA Camry?

Depends if there’s a rust ridge at the top and bottom of wear area I’d do rotors otherwise it will dust and be noisy. The gold line from zone is pretty fair, if you do rotors get coated ones to help with the aforementioned rust issues.

Re: Jeep 2013 3.6 issues. Bulletin #s by chance?

These have a very common issue with rocker arms failing, sometimes they’ll have an accompanying misfire but not always. I’ve seen it at high and low miles on the jeeps and minivans alike.

Re: Red Top Battery Life?

I’ve went to using Bosch lithium way lighter and starts/runs my sons circle track car just fine. It’s the size of a quad battery but starts and runs electric fan fuel injection and pump no problem. I Had too many optima and antigravity failures.

Midget sprint car and silver crown use IR but with mechanical or electronic fuel injection. Dirt late models still run carbs though

Re: SBF dry sump question

My Motorsport block was few with a -12 at the location behind timing cover and as well up high to feed the cam separately. It did t have a screw on filter port either. I would think using the adapter at the filter location would be sufficient though.

Re: Update to Yates Head Thread

I street drove a Yates headed 366 it was miserable for sure. Even with 4.56 in a stick car with a solid disc clutch taking off was a pain and anything under 3500 rpm was bad. I bet that motor sounds amazing wound up. 9500 on my 366 was sublime almost primal sounding. Great work!

Re: Ls headed 4cyl

My question was answered recently on another message board I frequent. A outfit called deppeengineering is offering billet blocks that can utilize ls type head. Looks like they’re in my area as they show a 317 area code

Re: Ls headed 4cyl

There was one Honda at chili bowl that ran really well but the motor kicked the bucket in the A feature on his prelim night not sure who the builder was on I know 4 piston was doing some as well as Stewart engines for the hpd program but I don’t think it ever caught on.

Re: Ls headed 4cyl

I imagine our friend here mike Jones could come up with something. I believe this car will probably end up with a ecotec as a d2 car and we’ll sell the sd Pontiac off, not sure if those motors have much value these days I’m still researching the platform a bit. I’ve been doing some ecotec assembly’s...
