Re: Free - hi-tech 5-75 hp dyno

How would it do with 600cc bike motor? I build some for dirt track racing, would be nice to compare cyl head work and coatings etc.

Re: Hemi vs Chevy wager...

I hope that means 30cc dished pistons not domed. You’ll want to lower the Cr not raise it, dependant on your desired boost level of course

Re: Chrysler programming software

If you’re Interested in making your own tunes and tuning other vehicles it’s the way to go. If you want a plug and play solution then buy a xxx name tuner. Those things tunes are kinda universal, once you figure out the software you’ll be tying your exact setup and can modify it In The future for ot...

Re: what about head porting on 6.0???

You’ll also wanna have some good hardened valve seats put in, almost every 6.0 I’ve pulled apart, close to 70 of them now, have had cracked exhaust valve seats.

Re: honda b18 racing rebuild modifications

Lots of cams available for those engines unfortunately most are for boosted applications. Dirt or pavement? Some sanctioning bodies allow vvt some don’t, also around here on the dirt several tracks check engine vacuum at idle and it’s not stated in their rules just kinda a surprise check. Some work ...

Re: Quieter 4 inch muffler

I think on a single a magnaflow would suit you well, I’m kinda curious about using diesel truck type muffler now since it’s been brought up. They’re not shaped or made like a typical automotive performance muffler but there’s not the typical shortage of space on a truck that limits design of car muf...

Re: Quieter 4 inch muffler

I’ve had spin tech on a 820 hp 408 sbf on the street and they were ok not much difference in sound level than a flow master just a different tone, granted this was 15 years ago. Then went to flow masters on the next engine which was 366” ex cup build and they were crazy loud. The diesel truck muffle...

Could you inject through a nitrous plate or would it not flow enough/too much? Wonder if the nitrous companies have considered something like this

Re: I heard the LS1 borrowed from other brands which came before

I know sbf headers with a flange change bolt to a ls engine, same spacing, I’ve done it personally to several cars. The ls smells suspiciously familiar to a sbf. Even the firing order is the same if you number the cylinders the same.

Re: 305 head flow possibilities?

I think I would address the T5 first, they didn’t last in a s10 or v6 Camaro or the much more powerful mustangs of the day.
