Re: 383 sbc first dyno experience
As flat as it is at and around peak hp. It wouldnt surprise me if backing the cam up some would move peak hp up a couple hundred. Especially considering how conservative the valve timing is. If that were the case, not saying it for sure is, that could put some power in it quick. A little gnarlier ca...

Re: Cam selection for a small bore engine?
Can you post up a picture of the back side of both the Intake and Exh valve? You do not want them to beTulip on the back side as that defeat's running a Cam with the needed faster opening rate! With aTulip valve more flow is seen during a static test on a flow bench, but in practice it cuts into po...

Re: Late Model SBC Step Nose Core
Yes. Street hyd roller. SADI would even be fine. Some have billets but none available for that much lobe lift. Thanks

Re: 6.0 LS head choice for tow engine
The 706 would be a better choice in my opinion(it is the smallest). But only if putting a 2 inch valve in it. Stock from GM they basically have no valve job with the 1.89 valve. Its just a 45 and no bottom or top cut, or at least not much of any and there is not material there to do a good valve job...

Re: Proposed Engine Spec: Another Gen 1 357
Not sure if I'm being tested or being asked a question. Your being tested :D . Good results are subjective at best. Even testing multiple cams to find the best one is in no way a guarantee that you have the best cam or are dialed in, just the best one that you tested. And im gonna take a stab that ...
