Coyote is not 180° but i agree, those things sound ragged.

Re: retarding the cam from 4 degrees to straight up
I always shoot for having that tight but sometimes it just doesnt work out that way. There is no doubt that the O.E's don't see it as something worthwhile to chase. It would take a crazy amount of testing to qualify or disqualify it if you think about it. You would need to test piston to head cleara...

Re: Comp Cams passes off 50 year old technology, as "New" cutting edge tech.
How long do you think they have been testing your lobes ? ... The Rat bastards ..... Lol We all study each other's lobe designs. I have data of Ed Winfield lobe designs that were made before I was born. Not to mention current designs from all across the industry. Harold Brookshire would come by my ...

Re: Sportsman II's vs Vortec heads
I have a set of large runner bowtie heads angle milled to 55cc with no port work on 355 and solid flat tappet cam and make 598 hp and 543 tq. But going to be selling the heads and putting small runner on it for different class. A 355 with no port work and a flat tappet cam making 1.53 tq/in? You su...

Re: Do all these eBay Rockers Suck
Erics posts lean towards helping the novice engine builder. You and I may know that most things need some work. "Bolt on performance " is a myth. I didn't see the need to insult the man on a public forum. I can see where your coming from. In my opinion though, what has run off a lot of the more tal...

Re: Do all these eBay Rockers Suck
LMFAO... He just posts stuff time and time again, proving he doesn't have hardly any experience building engines.. Just wow.. and all the nut swingers will rattle his name off to the first person asking about heads without having any personal experience with his stuff. Even Jesel and TD rockers som...

Re: 383 sbc first dyno experience
I didn't want to clog up Kevin's thread on intake manifold so I have a couple of idea's for upgrades. As mentioned on previous pages going to bigger comp roller 266 - 272 @ 0.050 " Looking at the big trickflow intake manifold, I have not done proper measurements but it is 1206 felpro at the flange....

Re: GM Hydraulic Roller Lifter Travel Limit Spacer
How many are you looking for? Tom Id be looking for 16. The S&S lifter limiters 33-5338 measure .115" as you already know. I assumed they were still available, now that ive looked I see everyone is showing out of stock on them. So those take about half the travel out of one of these lifters anyway....

GM Hydraulic Roller Lifter Travel Limit Spacer
Does anyone know of someone that sells a spacer to limit travel in a GM LS, SBC OE hydraulic roller lifter? I have used the ones S&S sells for Harleys in these lifters before, but they arent as thick as what im wanting. Looking to take most of the .200ish travel out. Please don't recommend an afterm...

Re: Rocker Ratio vs Lobe in a limited lift engine.....
I've seen this argument many times over the years. In the OP's case, assuming lobe selection was good enough to go either route. I'd go with more lobe and less ratio, at that lift rule.....especially if its flat tappet which im assuming is the case.

You install the back one from the front, then the front one from the back....using the cone. If we're on the same page here, or talking about the same tool?
