Re: Engine Simulation Software
Thank you Rebelrouser for your response about Analyzer I'm thinking that may be one I end up purchasing I was looking at it already just trying to decide whether to go with the basic version of the Pro version. I definitely want to get pipe max as well. I've head tons of good things about it as far ...

Engine Simulation Software
In you guys opinion what is currently the best engine simulation software available. Mainly just want to be able to compare modifications of cams, heads , airflow etc. one to another and get a group of answers such as piston speed ,G's etc. Instead of doing an individual equation for each result. Th...

Brodix HV1000
Have any of you guys got flow numbers on a
Brodix HV1000 intake ? Just wondering what
these flow out of the box. To me it looks like the SV would be a better choice but this is what they have and what they want to run.
Thanks

Re: 434 sbc. Power loss from running a nitrous cam?
Yes the NOS cam and a NOS tune can kill the ET/mph running it NA. Years ago I ran an S10 with 383 AFR210 heads and a small roller cam 252/256 @ .050 with a .630 lift. With a normal tune up NA the truck went 6.42 Off the trailer. With just the tune up for running NOS done to that motor it went to 6.8...

Question regarding exhaust
Forgive me for this odd question but I wanted to get some of the really smart individuals input on this. At our local asphalt circle track there's a guy running a late model car. Its your typical 500-540hp 355 the car seems to run decent (usually a top 3 car) but every race around lap 30 it starts b...

Re: Promaxx 225 heads
As already stated the clearances will need to be checked for the guides, the valve job etc. The non cnc 225s made 509hp 435 tq on a 10 to 1 355 oval track motor with vic Jr and a 650 holley. The cnc ported heads look ok for what they are and the price but if you look at a set of Cnc Darts, Brodix or...

Re: Piston info
It was a Sunday so Manley wasn't open to call. It has Manley
on the bottom of the piston but the part number appears to be an older one
so that was why I asked here.
Thanks

on a Manley 48103 R sbc piston? Friend of mine has a shortblock
with that part number on top of the piston but we've been unable

Built a 383 around 2002. GM 4 bolt block, 5.7 rods. Engine was 11.8 to 1 with a set of old AFR 210 heads that I blended the seats and shaped the guide bosses. 252 / 256 @ .050 with a .630 lift. Victor jr that i ported with a Demon 750 mech. secondary. Put it in an 85 S10 that weighed 3383 ready to r...
