Re: Another reason not to buy Speedmaster shit
Watch the prices for non knockoffs rise . I may be wrong but the knockoffs do help hold down prices. Please don't misunderstand,I am not in favor of cheap crap or even quality outright knockoffs . They do serve a purpose however.

Re: Another reason not to buy Speedmaster shit
Give it just a bit of time and we will see. It won't be long. $$$ seems to trump all. I do hope you are right though.

Re: sintered bronze main bearings vs alum steel
Packard v8 gave some good advice that I would pursue first. Then if nothing could be made to work I would not hesitate to machine from aluminum or brass bar stock. It would not be difficult to add eccentricity into it either.

This is true for drag use. A pan or sump reservoir heater is wise to use then .

Re: sintered bronze main bearings vs alum steel
Question comes down to..for instance if you were to buy .010 sheet...alum..brass..bronze and form your own bearings by pressing with the crankshaft to form..with the proper lube holes and locking clip....would that not be what is needed and work? next question is....how hardened should that materia...

Re: E85 Advice
I have run e85 for many years.I am a firm believer that 99.9 % of issues are due to running pump e85. Use high quality anhydrous e85 (I buy drums of e98 and blend to 85)and there will be no need to drain the system if left to sit over the winter.Ditto on the efi being best choice and always cap the ...

Re: An other mad scientist
I did not watch this but it looks like the only thing the outer pistons can do is kick the inner pistons up? True , but in doing so it is also pulling the crank back to tdc under power assisting the compression stroke of the other piston. Seems like theoretically the engine makes power throughout t...

Re: Jesel or T&D?
Which ever one you choose, put a steel rocker on the exhaust side..........you will thank me later. FWIW I would go steel especially with those ratios. It was approx $1000 -$1500 extra for the steel vs aluminum. Money well spent IMO. I'm done with aluminum rockers. At some point the risk vs money sa...

Re: Jesel or T&D?
T&D told me to measure to the tip of the valve stems to the surface of where the stands bolt down to get a good height. Jesel hasn't said anything about that yet, lol. By next week I'll know because I'm gonna order something from one of those companies. Jesel told me that the various cup teams ...
