Re: cutting aluminum seat pocket
For aluminum i shoot for the moon. 400 rpm or more left a nicer finish for me. Spray it with some hydraulic fluid or wd40

Re: Port Energy Anomoly?
Either way.. port energy is some MADE UP BS to sell a BS computer program to chose a cam with an arbitrary lobe center.
I wonder how many automobile manufacturers utilize this important equation.

Re: E85 Advice
Is US pump e85 actually e *up to* 85? Changing by season and location? I don't know how a carb would deal with that variability in fuel. In a pinch while leaving a popular cruising spot   I stopped at a gas station to fill up because it was the only one close enough with e85. 5 gallon f...

Re: tunnel ram carb talk
You would gain with 850s but not for money spent. You would Def be happy with a pair of doms and see better improvement. I went through same thing with 900 plus hp sbc. Braswell told me when I went from 865 hp to the 935 setup that his 850s would still do the job. I ran it 3 times, about 7 passes. ...

Re: 11.5 compression, Iron Head, 91 octane
To get a better understanding of this situation with stick shift and maybe help the OP. Engine is not yet assembled. What is the better choice in this situation: Leave compression as is and choose camshaft IVC that will help prevent combustion issues but likely shift torque curve up in rpm but make...
