Thank you cgarb.
Heads are cut for them and currently have them ordered.
Appreciate the help.
Thanks for not correcting my grammar, I get that enough from my wife that happens to be a teacher....
Thought this forum was a place to escape this sort of thing.
Thanks,
Brent

O ring or Viton seals!!!
Hi guys, Have a question about o ring and viton seals. I have a set of 034 bowtie heads that have o ring seals, was thinking of converting them to viton seals. Can I use viton seals in place of the the o rings with the same valves. I'm going to run a .500 lift hydraulic flat tappet cam. Just don't k...

Re: Mechanical Fuel Pump for Drag Race
I have ran the edelbrock 110gph in the past through 3/8" lines running 12.0 times shifting at 7k. Never had an issue.
It only puts out 6psi, I never ran a regulator because it wasn't needed.
Maybe the regulator is causing a restriction?
Just a thought.

Drag Radials
Has anybody used the Nitto nt555r2 drag radial?
I am looking at picking up a pair of drag radials for my truck before heading to the track.
Any other brands people prefer?
I will be using 275/60R15.
Thanks,
Brent

Summit ct101.
I believe its an old elgin grind.
.050 intake 256
Exhaust 264
.504 lift for both.
Using 1.6 rockers on intake
105 lobe separation.
Heads have pretty extensive port work, only have seat of the pants flow #'s...

Re: Solid flat tappet
Thanks for the responses, haven't had any time to put some miles on it yet. Fingers crossed its not going flat!!! If it survives, its sticky tires and off to the track....😀 It pulls pretty strong past 6k, would be happy to see 12sec 1/4 mile time. Its in a heavy 1975 gmc, time will tell.... Thanks, ...

Solid flat tappet
Hi guys, I recently broke in a solid flat tappet cam for the first time. I have done plenty of hydraulic flat tappet cams in the past with no problems. My question is after breaking in the solid and putting a few street miles on it, I adjusted the valves and found them out approximately. 005-.007 ou...

Re: 2022 Ford Maverick truck!!!
Found out great news about the new maverick hybrid. It is "flat towable". I have a jeep wrangler that I currently tow behind my motorhome whenever we go camping. I love my jeep, but the only time I use it anymore is to have a vehicle to drive once we set up camp. When I actually get rid of...

Re: Help with 350sbc build
Definitely figure out rear gear and what 4 speed before you make any decisions.
Also, are there other future plans for the drive train or does he plan to leave it stock?
If theirs any plans to change gears or trans in the future that may make decisions different.
Thanks,
Brent.

Re: 2022 Ford Maverick truck!!!
Update for the last towed home comment for my i3... Transmission went out!!! As you might imagine they aren't cheap. Luckily bmw has stepped up and is covering alot of the costs. Meanwhile I get to commute in a fancy loaner car. Driving a 430i coupe. Its way fancier than anything I should be driving...

Re: 2022 Ford Maverick truck!!!
Jack, I couldn't agree more. Its a horrible time to be in the market for a new vehicle. I currently commute in a BMW i3 but it has left me stranded to many times now. Not for the lack of charge but other issues. I have been able to sit in the new Ford Maverick recently and they are plenty roomy for ...

2022 Ford Maverick truck!!!
Hi guys, Anybody driving one of the new Ford Maverick hybrid trucks yet? I am in the market for a new commuter and this truck really has my attention. I haven't been able to test drive one yet as most dealers don't have any on there lots yet. My biggest concern is will I fit in it comfortably. I am ...
