could one of our members tell me what grit emery cloth i would use to polish the crank journals. perhaps there is a better material for this.all info

can anyone ID this chevy truck engine ID? it is supposedly a 74 engine that came with factory 4 barrel. if someone can ID it for me then maybe you could confirm the intake valve size. i am assuming it is a 1.94 intake valve. thanks art in NY

mallory 250 fuel pump
have a mallory fuel pump sitting for a number of years(always inside) and want to use it soon. can i squirt some silicone in the ports and hook it to 12 volts and let it spin for a while to get silicone on the seals or is there a better way to lubricate the insides of this pump. thanks art in NY

we just set up a friends car with a BG 280 fuel pump running through a plain holley 208 pressure regulator( 4.5-9 PSI)(2 port). gas is blowing right through the regulator to around 19 lbs. pressure.. is this regulator totally wrong with this fuel pump. all is hooked up correctly, but way too much fu...

thankx dan. i feel the same way. its my buddys car. only thing i forgot to mention is that the car currently has the old school sliders on there which allows the ladder bar leaf spring combo. that would probably let the combo work, bu i think there would be too much sprin(stiffness) with the coilove...

have a 400 cu in sbc' is there a small plug above the oil filter housing that i can use to screw in my sensor for oil pressure safety light. threads on sensor are the standard pipe threads(1/4 in npt?) plug in block behind distributor is used up already for other switches. thanks art
