engine ID number

can anyone tell me what this engine is. took this # off front pass side of SBC Think this is what i read. TOB19SA. second letter could be a zero or a six. the third letter could either be a B or a 6' they were pretty hard to read. thanks Art in NY

i always went with .002 looser than mfg specs cold with steel heads. always went with .004 tighter with Aluminum heads and had heard to go tighter .010 with aluminum heads and block combined(never got to that one). if not sure of this it would be simple to adjust the valves hot to mfg. specs and the...

where to put adjustable brake prop, valve

when using an adjustable proportioning valve on a drag car with all disc brakes. should the prop. valve be placed before or after a line lock for front wheels. could someone explain this one in detail and why the valve is placed where you say it should be. thanks art in NY

hey 1980rs im sure the car ran good depending on what is was built for. in this case, i think this manifold is a very poor choice for the street. again i mention edelbrock rpm air gap supposedly tops out ALL other sbc intakes from about 2500 to 6500 RPMs.. thanks for reply Art in NY

PS this weind single plane was a very low riser intake. nowhere even close to a victor jr or team g intake.

talked to rep at aeromotive amd he said it was the right regulator he is using but it might not return right due to small ports on fuel pump. just one more thing to check. also im pretty sure he said the carbs, which are blow thru dont have to be blow thru. i could be wrong on what iinterpreted in t...
