Re: adding lift effect rpm range?
Block is IA and heads are KRE HP
Thanks for the replies, I will know more after this weekend just how far I have to go to get to get my 8 but I think it will run a real low 9.2 to high 9.1 if that is the case then I think with a cam update and some other changes 8 might be possible.

Re: adding lift effect rpm range?
If your making a tic under 900hp, 890 to be exact with a bbc that is very close to square, then why would you want to change the camshaft. 900hp with pump gas on an engine that is 11.1 compression and is almost squared is incredible. You'll make close to 1000hp on that same pump gas with 11.1 if yo...

Re: adding lift effect rpm range?
Car has run 9.45 @ 142 with full exhaust weighing 3600lbs DA was 2980ft that day.
Thanks for the info guys. I am going to add more lift and go back to the dyno and see what it does. The heads keeping flowing right up to 1.000 lift so I feel it should like the added lift.

Re: adding lift effect rpm range?
Engine is 496 with a 2.25 valve and .750 lift, peak hp is 7300. I feel the engine would love at least another .100 in the lift department. Just wondering if adding the lift but keeping the duration the same would increase the peak rpm.
