Re: another balance question

When Bill Jenkins was running Pro Stock with a SBC he would over balance @ 52%. I have over and under balanced 35g and more. It didn't run any better or any worse, also the bearings looked like new on tear down.

I have built a few 421 sbc 3.875 stroke; and a couple 427 sbc with 3.940 stroke with 2.00 rods. With a standard base circle cam and comp star h-beam rods that have 1.460 bolts; they clear pan rails and cam. 1 427 had bbc standard base circle cam and one with sbc . the bbc cam I took .040 cut on rod ...

Re: SBC 350+.060

It would most likely want a 7500 shift point, you are running the number at 6800 so why run it any higher?

Re: Under performing 357 sbc

As far as the heads go epoxy the floor and the dead air space on the push rod wall to bring down the csa of the port. You don't need different heads you just need to make them work for your application.

Re: Help for tips 427 csb

If you run small rod journal( 283 ) and comp star rods it will clear standard base circle cam. Also if you run honda rod journal they will clear a bbc standard base circle cam.
