Re: "Masters Of Motors" class rules released
I was really hoping we would have heard something like --It's still on! By now But we haven't heard a peep most likely due to this virus hoax--oops I mean scamdemic--oops I mean plandemic--oops damn it I mean pandemic. And now with the civil unrest due to the race baiting going on I am fully sure t...

Re: "Masters Of Motors" class rules released
Are you entering Randy? J.Rob Already sent my entry to Lonnie for "ARP Early Iron" class. Small block Chevrolet 327/275 from 1966. I think a 340 Mopar might have a good chance but, I don't already own one. :) Awesome Randy, awesome. I too believe a 340 Mopar could crush it--and that is wh...

Re: Strange looking blown head gaskets sbc
First thought upon seeing the pics= shit graphite head gaskets. Second thought= The manufacturer of those gaskets has changed something. Third thought= Check the angle on your resurfacer head. I seriously doubt it is anything you are doing. J.Rob

Re: Totalseal rings
Ok. Sounds like BS to me. I've dyno tested them MANY times, never had an oil user, never seen the flutter. Like anything else, the better the block, the better the bore finish, the better the finish and fit of the ring in the groove, the better the deal. An OE block like the GM 400 will respond to ...

Re: Totalseal rings
Contrary to what you may read or have been told, gapless rings will not net you gains like you expect. They have a tendency to "flutter" which affects ring seal. No, Matt Hartford (total seal VP) doesn't run them in his pro stock either. Many dyno tests have proven they don't work as well...

Re: Engine Masters 2019
Thankyou for some clarification Adger. I am one of those with little knowledge of NHRA Stock/SuperStock rules. Are there any links to these rules a fellow ST'r could point me to? Any idea when the particiapant list comes out? I'm looking forward to the EMC @ the JE pistons facility and hope we make ...

Re: Engine Masters 2019
I hear you. Not being familiar with all of Chevy's hi perf castings, I dont know that rectangle port heads are legal. Didn't many of them have Hi Perf cast into the valve cover area? I don't think having Hi Perf cast into them would render them illegal but maybe. The rules how I interpret them woul...

Re: Using washers instead of torque plate for honing
This is for a street/strip build (Mopar 440 RB block). Unfortunately torque plates are hard to come by where I live (Austria/Europe) any my machinist doesn't own a torque plate. Making one or buying one and have it shipped here is cost prohibitive unfortunately. I have heard that before torque plat...
