Working on a cylinder head for an Alph Romeo. Wondering if anyone could provide me with the lash setting on both intake and exhaust. Its a 1986 2.0. I was told by the owner, .006int .008exh. Just wondering if this is accurate. Thanks in advanced

Toyota 2JZGE pistons

Building a 3.0L Toyota engine for a Lexus. Had ordered the complete rebuild kit from parts supplier, then 2 weeks later found out the pistons aren't now "available". Does anybody have a source. I prefer .50mm (.020") over or larger as i already bored the block. Any help would be a gre...

Re: BBC factory "772" castings

No they are not peanut ports, the average sized medium oval ports.
and also no, they are std open chamber heads.
So, they will take the larger valves, w/out breaking into water, that works out well. Thanks for the help

Re: Intake Manifold ?????????????

What are your current performance #s? HP, TQ, total rpms range?? I don't like dart intakes, i've said this many times to many people (customers or not) Let us know some specifics, and that will help make a decision. IMO, just based on what i'm guessing you have, i'd go and say you'd be much better o...

Whats the storke?
How many rpms?
Crower cranks are just amazing in quality and the fact that there a true "non twisted" forging goes along way. BUT, at the HP your looking at making, IMO, you need a billet crank. Call Bryant so you can get sleep at night not worrying about this

Your right, you did say that.... Anyhow.... they'll still work very well. I prefer them over iron eagles. For some, and i mean some applications the EQ vortec heads work well, but thats limited to small track circle track engines that are limited to begin with. Another nice feature of the RHS...

Hands down.... the RHS heads!! the as cast heads are such a great foundation to work with (i hate working with irong heads as their so damb heavy) but evan so, great pieces. Chambers are nicely designed, and have a great intake port (again, to start with as a foundation). ' My only grief of them is ...

I often get the question asked from racer whom call me up, and i'm sure other builder/porters do as well. Very tuff question to attack and make the "racer" hear what they wanta hear. Having said that..... It all depends on how restrictive the manifold is currently being toward the engine t...

This was a few months back, but over on Racing Junk, there was an add for some old Mark Edwards PS complete engines that were fresh and from the 2005season.
You may still be able to find some stuff on places like that. OR.... over on YB theres a guy selling some PS truck engine parts

Have you had issues w/the Ferrea stuff? I've used them on so many head builds.
Yes Victor 1 are very highend, as well as DelWest, but whats your application? Are you turning 10Krpms with at or over 1" of lift??

My apologies, from the way you worded your statement, i thought you implied he had those heads...

Anyhow... I'm not sure. There is access to the rule book at NMCAs website regarding if they are legal. If memory serves me right, the GV2 heads are not legal. But i could be mistaken
