Re: Filtration on the oil pan scavange lines

The scavenge filters I've used are pretty loose. Mainly for just keeping big chunks out of the pump.

Ford Clevor Water Crossovers

I scoured the internet this morning looking for options. Trick Flow and CHI both used to have a nice crossover that hooked to each head and bolted to the timing cover. TFS is no longer making it. I did email my CHI rep, but haven't heard back. Does anyone know of any other options for a water crosso...

Re: Why 4 degrees?

It's something that usually works universally. Just like a 6° split between intake and exhaust duration, 110 LSA, etc. Those are specs that work decent in lots of applications. But they are usually nowhere near optimal for a particular engine combination.

Re: aluminum block and power loss?

Many of us have done similar combinations between iron and aluminum blocks and have seen differences. Sleeves can't hold rigidity when the supporting material around it is expanding and squirming around. The valve lash on my all-aluminum engines will change .014" from cold to hot. With an iron ...

The Torker does quite well…..both on Clevelands and on FEs with Cleveland intake adapters.

Re: Engine builder recommendations.

I'm not a Chevy builder, but this is a build that I would have interest in. Any time someone approaches me and says, "I'd like to see how much you can get out of this combination", I'm all ears.... Again, the number of non-Ford engines I've built can be counted on two hands, but if you're ...

Re: Ford Coyote Cam/Phaser Hub Fitment

I went with the MMR phaser delete since it's so easy to dial in the cam timing on each individual camshaft. Didn't know it was going to be this big of an ordeal to get parts that fit. Should have known that Coyotes aren't any different from any other engine LOL

Re: Ford Distributor gear.

IMO, the real issue is not trying to get the holes lined up, because you rarely will see an instance where lining up the holes will put the gear in the right spot. The real issue is getting the gear on to the correct dimension, without swiss-cheesing the shaft.
