Re: If you own an engine dyno
I’m really not wanting to do any antifreeze if I don’t have to unless it’s non toxic (if there even is such a thing) because if I do have to drain the tank I don’t want all that antifreeze soaking into my aquifer. Check with a local commercial mechanical contractor that installs large boiler system...

Re: BBC 427 header size?
If you are serious about your combination buy Pipemax and do the calculations. If you are building a set, a step header should give you the best results and Pipemax can give you the step sizes and lengths. Built several headers using Pipemax and was happy with all of them. If you are buying a set I...

69 Camaro BB frame stands
Our BB 69 Camaro has a Smith Racecraft rack and pinion, and I would like to center the BB in the frame rails to get better drive shaft angles. I do not want to go with motor and mid plates for various reasons. Turbo 400 transmission and Lemons Headers for the rack. Right now, we have stands 3950114 ...

Re: Methanol or water in crankcase?
My sons usually do Dave, It dose the rev up thing and then they kill the ignition. This happened going to Q1 after a morning warm up. Walking away I heard it crank with a thud. Oil pressure diminished the next 5 passes.Dave Koehler wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 1:36 pm You may also want to try shutting the engine down with the fuel shut off.

Re: Methanol or water in crankcase?
-When the barrel valve is higher than the nozzles you have to deal with the internal fluid volumes and drainages that allow the system to unload all that fuel into the engine when the engine isn't running. This caused my #6 rod bearing to get damaged when #6 cylinder hydro locked (start up) from th...
