Chevy stamped rockers for the 250/292 I6's are something like 1.75 ratio; I have no clue if they will work for your application.

Re: Wiring Electric Fuel Pump to be run off of alternator
For many years, Ford used the Stator connection on the alternator to run the electric choke. No current flows until the alternator is producing current, therefore the choke wouldn't heat up until the engine was running. This is actually an Alternating Current output, but it can readily be set up to ...

I printed one off from www.tavia.com several years ago. Used heavy card stock, then stuck it on the damper with magnets. Made a pointer out of a coat hanger. Made a positive stop out of an old spark plug to check TDC. Slow, but CHEAP! Did one engine, might do another in a couple of years.

Re: Bad ground cause a block to be magnatized?
A demagnetizer works by subjecting the workpiece to a decaying AC magnetic field..... Yup. AKA "degaussing". Do a google search for degaussing Navy ships, it became a big deal during WW2. I am aware of crankshafts in general aviation engines becoming magnetized and then needing degaussing...

Not that I wish ill on anyone, but it is nice to see that I'm not alone; even high-dollar stuff that is carefully built, maintained and operated can experience failures.n2omike wrote:

Repair Plastic Radiator Tank?
97 Isuzu Trooper. Hairline crack in upper radiator tank, oozes bubbles under pressure. About two inches long, right on top, easily accessible without removing tank.
Any chance of gluing that thing? If so, with what?
Thanks,
Joe

Re: What the fuel injection guys don't want you to know
...... To be fair, can you tell me any application where a carb has any advantage over fuel injection? I'm hard pressed to find one..... My lawn mower. If it ever comes to the point that I cannot run a carbureted lawn mower I will turn the cows into the yard. Also my old farm truck will never see F...

Great idea! It worked pretty well during WW2 in those German aircraft engines, amongst others. Not exactly "new" though.

try polishing cam or cranks both ways , what im trying to say is first polish opposite direction that will raise the peaks in the material, then rotation it runs. you should notice a difference in the finish much better. but after your machine shop fella checked yor cam tunnel and your cam spins fr...
