Re: % power loss for vacuum at WOT?
Yeah, it's a stock LT1 throttle body. Engine is a 355. The MAP reading was 92kpa and the sensor is in the intake. I forget what baro was... somewhere around 99-100, I imagine

Re: % power loss for vacuum at WOT?
Oh yeah, this is a fuel injected motor, also. Stock TB is 48mm and I was just wondering, roughly, how much power I'd pick up by going to a bigger one... if the TB is, in fact, the restriction!
Thanks guys... a lot of reading so far!

Re: % power loss for vacuum at WOT?
So, which one is it?
And won't an engine have just a little bit of vacuum, no matter how "free flowing" it is?

Re: % power loss for vacuum at WOT?
I'm talking about engine power.
Let's say baro was 100 kpa and the map reading was 92kpa at WOT. Just wondering how much horsepower is lost from the restriction.

Bullet Bob Reed wrecks at zMAX yet AGAIN!!
I bet he NEVER comes back to this track! He did an awesome job of saving it! I thought it was gonna flip in picture #3. Still not sure how it went from having the ass end farther down the track than the front end, to hitting the wall with the passenger side?! :-k http://i80.photobucket.com/alb...
