Re: Small diesel engine turbo selection help.
You are possibly right, it maybe too small. After reading the links posted and looking at a few YouTube videos, it seems most people make the same mistake. They all put too big of a turbo on. I don’t want something that doesn’t spool well.

Small diesel engine turbo selection help.
I have a little Kubota yard tractor that I found needs just a little more grunt to run my snow blower. It has an 855cc N/A 3 cylinder diesel engine in it. Right now the engine is rated for 15 hp and I was hoping to make closer to 20hp. I’m looking for power from idle to 2600rpm max. I don’t know muc...

Re: 1991 c4 corvette L98 engine questions, options, mass confusion.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cBV6wwo1RjI Did this in my 91 GMC 1/2 ton. 19/lb injectors feeding my 406. Will literally do 20mpg with the cruise set a 70mph, a/c blowing in my face while listening to my favourite AC/DC song 3.73 rear gear and a 700-r4 with a 2400 stall. Peak power at 5300 and 5500 s...

Grind/shave your throttle shafts down. That’ll open up the air flow as well

Talk to this guy http://westersgarage.eidnet.ca/index2.html His name is Lyndon. He may help you for the most part, but like any good tuner......I don’t think he’ll give away secrets. He also tuned my 89 Camaro with a 420sbc that’s run off a TBI computer. It’s a lot of fun on the street, and runs per...

Re: What size exhaust?
My current experience. I have an 89 Camaro with full interior, suprising it to weighs the same with me in it. I run a mild 420sbc with a 700r-4. In 2500 feet of air it runs 11.91 at 116ish. I run 3 inch pipes off the headers into a single 3 inch to the Flowmaster muffler with dual 2.5 tail pipes. Th...

Re: 350 TBI tows 5000/6000lbs
I always wanted to try the comp cam adv. 252 - 425 lift. Old high energy cam. I will have to agree you need good low rpm torque. Oh the cam is 206 deg at 50. I would like to try this cam in a 400 sbc and try to see what the most mpg I could get in a s10. Had that cam in my 350 and my 406. Lots of i...

Re: 454 build for towing
Fastblackracing, that is one beautiful truck you have there! Did I understand you correctly, you still have a TBI on it?
How’d you get it to breathe?
PS. What I mean is, the factory 454 TBI unit is good for 650-670ish CFM.

Re: Industrial International 392 help/info
Thanx for the reply’s, lots of little things to look into. I’m certainly going to check into the timing. I’m going to look at the distributer cap and rotor as well. A couple of things that can be over looked.

Re: Industrial International 392 help/info
Where are you from ? I have a 74 IH cab over with a 345 i'm parting out. Brian Well, looking at your user name, you may not be that far from me. Harvest is in full swing here in Saskatchewan. That may be an option. After harvest when things slow down, I’ll price out a set of headers. If the cost is...
