The old one was a Dart and like alot Darts cracked the main webbing at the oil hole Oldhead

I am 84 YO., and building my last SBC 400 and will be over 1100 hp like my old one. its a world block and has sbc mains. What wrong with SBC mains? Thanks for your answers Bob Oldhead

I was wondering if I added 6 more degrees or dropped 6 how much RPM would max. HP. would change? SBC-400 8 to 1 comp,300-235 heads,800 cfm carb,248-260 at .050 114 cl.,making 470 hp at 6250 rpm.Unblown of course...I WANT TO THANK THE GUYS THAT ANSWERED LAST TIME. OLDHEAD

the only question i see that you asked is, will the rpm peak be higher with the smaller displacement engine given the same cam, and the answer is yes. based on your last post, i think youre looking for something else, but thats the answer for what was asked. You answered my question and I thank you...
