Re: Bizarre electrical issue w/ starter solenoid
The Trombetta solenoids do have two terminals. They have continuity and I see 12v at both terminals whenever one is powered. The reason they have continuity and you 'see 12v at both terminals whenever one is powered' is because you have two ends of the same cirucit. If, out of interest, you put thi...

Re: Bizarre electrical issue w/ starter solenoid
Well... I got home, finished cleaning and re-gap on the plugs, and turned the key to check voltage yet again. Imagine my surprise when it then turned over and roared to life. I about threw the multimeter and almost fell over. I've been banging my head into a wall all day over this and I get home. An...

Re: Bizarre electrical issue w/ starter solenoid
Testing is with the wire attached to the solenoid. The Trombetta solenoids do have two terminals. They have continuity and I see 12v at both terminals whenever one is powered. The Ford style solenoid is this. http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/mediumlarge/SMP-SS598_ml.jpg It is wired ...

Bizarre electrical issue w/ starter solenoid
This one has me well and truly stumped. I've been playing with it for almost a week Okay, first the basics. It's a small Craftsman tractor, circa 90. 12hp Briggs, 12v system. It won't crank when you turn the key. I verify voltage at the exciter terminal on the solenoid and it has 12.52v, direct batt...

Re: Free California Vizard Seminar
OK, the seminar should be over right about now. Anyone got anything to report? Yeah, a few things. First and foremost was that yes, intake texture finish is dependent on the level of atomization, and one that surprised me a little, that he recommended texture on the intake all the way back to the i...

Re: David Vizard's California Seminar - Topics and Questions
I'll be there.
I'd really like to know about the beneficial limits of intake texture. How much does the booster style/droplet size affect the desired finish?
Thanks!

Re: overlap
So given a situation where exhaust pressure is always way above inlet. Say 21psia intake, 28psia exhaust. And a 5500 redline. How would that look?

Re: What Causes a Bore to Look Like This?
Right hand drive, and rear wheel drive. :) All plugs are easy. Both heads dropped over the installed studs. I hate you. We get stuck with a fwd platform, and it makes it a bear to work on. Try checking the power steering reservoir on the fwd models when it's hot. :( I'd turbo yours in a heartbeat.

my all time favorite. guy decides to end it all. drives out to the ocean. he makes a noose at the top of a cliff, takes poison, has a loaded gun ready and last but not least, lights himself on fire before he jumps. he tries to shoot himself and misses, but hits the rope. bounces off the cliff into t...

Re: Running Methanol Engine Outdoors in Cold Temps
Heat riser to the air cleaner like the OEMs did? Or make an box (with an open top) that fits around the primaries and put a hat/snorkel on the carb that feeds from the box without touching it (adjust distance for desired intake temp)?
