After cleaning the block I noticed the main oil galley has a restriction after the drilling to the #2 main.

Of youve done it for 6years you've pretty much answered your own question. Apparently the bores aren't to tight.

If I scratched the cyl deep as it sounds like you did I would have never assembled it untill I knew for a fact what caused it and the rings were ok. I hope you don't have any problems
