Re: Hyd Roller SBC bracket drag car

Ok so lets say you go 142 MPH @ 3600 how much HP @ the wheel is this? Do you dyno test? Heres a better example: I have a truck which runs 101 MPH in 1320, it weighs 4200 pounds, as you probably know I dyno test @ 6400 feet elevation, my truck engine made 329 observed in the room uncorrected HP dyno...

Re: Hyd Roller SBC bracket drag car

Will the car lose consistency or have issues with lifter pump up? With good HR lifters, can it still turn 6800 rpm? It will only pump up if you put a garbage spring on with low pressure... If you have a quality spring and the valvetrain doesnt get out of control it will never pump up... More like l...

Re: Vizard vs Foxwell

Mr.Vizard has plenty of fans crowd fund for the dyno sessions and purchase cams from each vendor as a customer and test vs your own specced one... Or maybe the vendors will gift one for testing. If you are willing to pay someone 1000 for a seminar speech that still wont give results you might as wel...

Re: 50* Seats and Cam Duration

Would that be time well spent ?? :) I decided to,... Shut the valve sooner to trap more air!! And calculate my "dynamic comp" to get it just right !!! Run all the specs through a cranking comp calculator to make sure it is spot on !!! Keep the ex valve shut later to help build more TQ !!!...

IMG_04481.jpg It recently went 117mph on its first outing, 2:73 open rear end 700r4. So pretty decent, needs some tuning and obviously gears and a posi, but runs good for sure....I'm not positive what it weighs, not sure if they've scaled it or anything. But itd be whatever a stock 3rd gen weighs g...

Re: Dart 180 cc alloy head as cast

Any lobe families you recommend to study before I email Comp Cams :D You can email them, but the price for shipping the cam is too much as last time I spoke to them they would only ship fedex but the freight cost was nearly the same as the cam.. Now, performance wholesale in Brissie will bring a cu...

Re: Dart 180 cc alloy head as cast

IVC of 45° is pretty close for a 6500rpm 383 in my opinion, give or take depending on some things. I agree on the more duration. I think a 60° or even earlier EVO would help the top without hurting the bottom...once again depending on some things :D Low 240's intake high 250's exhaust 110 lsa would...

Re: LS3 Carbed build

Or,.... put the heads/intake/cam etc on 400 plus cubes and lower the rpm. LOL What about less camshaft? Lower comp, small cam which peaks around 6000-6200 carry to 7000 RPM might make a good daily driver it would take an extremely small cam to get Chad's 378 to peak at 6000-6200 rpm. I did a 408 ls...

I went from an old school single plane Victor to a dual plane and picked up .08-.10 in the 1/8th mile. Is a Holley that much better?
In your opening post you mention that shift point is 6200rpm, was this the case when you were using the victor as well?
