Soiux valve stone driver

Sioux Valve stone driver and diamond stone dresser. Sioux catalog #1712-s Serial #B120.4 I bought this tool new many years ago and it has only ben used by me, most for race seat work/experimenting. It has very little run time. The package comes with 3 pilots, two stone holders, about 15 assorted sto...

Re: Adjustable guide plates

FYI, I talked with John Jomar about the SBC adjustable plates for 3/8" pushrod. He said "the current design will only allow.070" offset. I am working on a design that will allow .150" offset but it is not ready." I ask him to put me on the notify list because my Camaro is in body shop jail so the ti...

If you are considering a new pick up

Take a look and test drive the new Ram Dodge. They are impressive. After a lifetime of GM products [and no complaints, GM has given me excellent service] I drove a Ram, then promptly when in the sales office and bought one. After 1200 miles I am completely satisfied and consider it a quality product...

Re: cheap chassis to save drag racing

I have been thinking about this concept and what I have come up with is that there is no easy way out. The short dragster is an excellent idea and most likely about as inexpensive base a fellow can do. Yet, it still requires all the support equipment no matter what chassis is attached to it. My age ...

Re: cheap chassis to save drag racing

I always welcome new ideas and of course, low cost is a good thing. The problem I have with your vision is how it would look. A dragster chassis with wide rear and wide front stance, that sure would be funny looking. Maybe a better thought is as posted above, some style of fiberglass body, roadster,...

Re: cheap chassis to save drag racing

Thoughts, your idea is like that of a "spec class" which, has many forms in all types of racing.

Re: exhaust pipe extension beyond the collector

Reading my text about the car using Methanol will point to this being a trailered drag race car. In addition, my talking about helping put the noise behind the driver will suggest no mufflers :) Just poking fun. Anywho, I should have asked in a different way. What I want to know is how can I add 30 ...

exhaust pipe extension beyond the collector

In order to help put the Methanol fumes and the noise behind the driver, I will need about 30" of tubing after the collector. The engine is SBC of about 725 horses. The headers are 1 7/8 x 2 x 3.5 What is the size and length guideline? Would it be reasonable to add a 4" x 30 extension? Also, I am co...

speaking of SBC blocks

I am beginning the build of a 421 SBC [4.165 x 3.875 that will produce about 725 horse with an upper limit of about 7800 RPM. In this situation. which block would you employ?

and of course, those model engines ran a mix of methanol and nitro. And for the last 15 years, I have raced both carb and injected methanol. The smell reminds me of the young years and those model engines.

Re: about a Nitro cackle engine

Thanks to all for your thoughts. It might be a fun project for an old [age 72] engine builder. When I was a youngster when u-control plans were very popular. After I crashed a model and before I could get another built, I would mount the engines on scraps of wood and just run them. And through my ad...
