Re: HEADBYTES
Digging up an old post for sure but I know headbytes vanished and left a lot of pissed off customers at the end. I discovered this pass summer he got into an argument with his neighbor and shot and killed her then was shot by police when they showed up and later died. A pretty wild ending for ole h...

Re: 6.135 rod with 4.600 bore bbc
Forget those rods, you have way too many good parts surrounding those things, if you're on a budget look to the Scat Pro Series 4340 Forged I-Beam in 6.385, way better rod and won't break the bank!

I'd run a Weiand Stealth dual plane (8018) for that combo.

Have you had a chance to run the car with the new main body yet? Any feed back would be appreciated.

Just a little over 3300 w/me. But I do need to get an updated weight since I've changed a few things since the last time I weighed the car.

Re: Older Crane Cam ?
Just figured I'd give an update on what this combo did as I finally finished it and took it to the track. I retained the good ol' Crane TR cam after all and I'm really happy with the results thus far. Right of the trailer with just me tuning in the garage and on the street it went 10.16 @ 137.8 mph,...

Re: Header/q16 BBC dyno test
Another 700 hp 781 head build! Nice results. If my junk doesn't make 700 hp with my 308 Iron Eagles, I'm scrapping it!

Re: Older Crane Cam ?
Just an update on my old school 12.25:1, 6.535 rod, 468, Dart 308, Vic Jr. (AED 850 HO) combo. I finished the build last week and fired it over the weekend, staying with the old .708" 268/272 @ .050 Crane Track Roller. No dyno for this build, just garage and street tuning for now. One thing I d...

Re: Older Crane Cam ?
Thank you all for the info, this helps out, considering that I was too vague to be asking whats left on the table. I believe this cam will be a good compromise of some street and strip action based on what Chase added, but either way I went with it. I'd be ok with a 10, 20 or 30 hp loss for longevit...

Re: BBC Camshaft LSA question
lash is allready at .015 area ( i'm not to good at getting it dead accurate) cam is degreed to the exact specs on card. I think its advanced quite a bit. I also think retarding it from where it is may help. When i originally bought this cam i had 3.50 gears. I now have 4.10's and a much higher stal...
