Afaik, some chamber work would pick up the as cast heads' flow 8-12 cfm in the .300" - .500" lift ranges.

There is no law saying you could not try the 2x Qjets inline on spreadbore carb adapters on that bbc dual quad manifold. The early pre-1975 era chevy 4MV (right angle fuel inlet) Q-Jet should fit. no rules... Will not fit, unless rear one was turned 180. I agree w/you on that causing secondary fuel...
