Re: Vacuum secondary carb better for the street?
I will stick to the Double Pumper for the street. 4.10 gears, high lift flat tappet cam, 4 speed. Thanks everyone. Good questions and gave it more thought.

Vacuum secondary carb better for the street?
I been using a Holley Double pumper carb on my street Nova. I just think its overkill for street driving. Gas mileage is horrible too. Do you think a vacuum secondary Holley would work better all around for my street Nova? Any input helps.

And the way Joe Biden is signing off against everything Trump built up in his economy, Biden will ruin it all with his beliefs and passive aggressive way what Trump did to make this economy flourish. Tax them to death Joe, your not a friend to business period.

Re: Which of these two BBC intake would you run and why
Reading your info, personally i would try both intakes and see how each performs. The 163 Chevy dual plane intake you show in the pic is a very good intake manifold and will run strong up to 7000 RPMs. Just watch the stock eliminator class in NHRA and the guys who run these 163 intakes on their 396-...

Yes he built some huge cubic inch motors. A 1,000 cubic inch BB Chevy style design. Unreal.

Re: Which of these two BBC intake would you run and why
Also let me add, the factory 4296 carb specially designed for this intake was reworked and tweeked by Clark Holroyd, top carburetor rebuilder for racing engines. If you dont have the correct carb, talk to Pro Systems carb specialist listed in Muskegon Mich. I used their carb for my single plane inta...

Re: Which of these two BBC intake would you run and why
The 163 dual plane Chevy BB intake is solid up to 6800 RPM's. The Weiand Intake in your picture is an exact replica of the Chevy 198 BB Intake used on the ZL-1-L-88 427 Engines. These ZL-1-L-88 designs would run strong in the upper 7.000 RPM's range. Most copied the Chevy BB intake design which is t...

Re: Single plane vs. dual plane intake. How to compare?
It all comes down to port velocity. Bigger doesn't mean better. This goes for cylinder heads too. Back when i was drag racing i tried a 198 Aluminum ZL-1 factory intake with a correct reworked Clark Holroyd staggered jet 4296 carb Chevy designed for that particular intake on my Big Block Chevy. It r...

Re: Best Plugs out there for street perf use? Champion- NGK Iridium IX?
My .$.02, I used Champions in everything for years with good results. Then a number of years ago one of my motors developed a miss. Pulled the plugs and everything looked fine with them. I decided to check the gaps before reinstalling. I picked one up and as I turned it right side up the electrode ...

Bigger is not always better, be careful. You tube might have some good intake porting videos. Weiand intakes were designed pretty well.
