Re: Question about Bullet Cams Company
This is a very cool education on camshafts , but being able to directly copy a comp grind seems like cheating ? Are there companies that are on the cutting edge of cam technology ? Or do they just keep reusing old grinds ?

Re: Ring Gap - Did I screw up ?
You will be OK with a .040" gap for the second ring. Your situation is very common: Most high performance ring sets use a ductile iron, plasma sprayed top ring and a grey iron second ring. The grey iron material is much softer than the ductile iron and is much easier to file. Most guys gap the...

Re: Ring Gap - Did I screw up ?
Thanks everyone , I forgot to mention too that these are 1/16 th . Another thing I was looking at is total seal recommends a top ring gap with 150+ n2o at .033 and then if you make the 2nd larger , + .004 - .006 . That puts it right there also .

Re: Ring Gap - Did I screw up ?
Thanks , I am trying to decide if thats a large gap , or a get another one gap .JoePorting wrote:I wouldn't worry about it. There are lots of people who believe a large second ring gap is a good thing.
I generally am a little more careful when it comes to this stuff , I don't know what the heck happened .

Ring Gap - Did I screw up ?
Hey guys , So i was file fitting my total seal rings today and I got a bit over zealous on one of the 2nd rings . The motor is a 4.155 bore , 12.5 compression , N.A. SBC . I went with .024 on the top ring and .028 on the second ring ( after a lot of research on speedtalk and total seal ) . Well one ...
