the intake is a limiting factor, more cubes isn't going add substantial hp, might help off idle thru mid range

some gen6 have 5/16 pushrods and guide plates, so you probably want the conversion rocker studs and new guideplates, possibly the performance engines don't have these obstacles, check under the valve cover or maybe decode the numbers

how do thicker deck and cylinder wall race blocks compare distortionwise? there must be people on here who have checked this? back in the day it was claimed that starting a build with a used engine block was superior to new ones because stresses had worked out, this was before race blocks were avail...

I've never been on a big ship at sea, if you put castings on metal shelves in a container do they get a vibration all the time? only in rough weather?

you can get Brodix or Dart lowend heads american made for about $1000-1100 complete, I think the cheap AFR heads would say made in USA if they were, I like those thin stem valves and expect those heads will dyno better than the lowend Brodix and Dart on 350-383 cube engines

the advantage is timing, use it only when necessary, might never use it on some winter days, and in the summer it cools the radiator after engine shutoff
