Re: Quarter jr Bundle Offer !!! (Update 6)

I'm in! Looks like a super deal to me. Wish it ran on a Mac though. Oh well, racing software rarely does.

Re: Quarter jr Bundle Offer !!! (Update 6)

I'm starting to do some research into Lycoming aircraft engines. How well will the Engine Jr and Engine Pro work on them? They don't exactly fit the model of a modern high performance engine.

In actual testing I have seen, it will make very little differance--- ON a 700 HP engine, I saw 12 to 13 more HP when the firing order was used as opposed to random primary placement--- If you think one to two percent is a big deal, then you have to go after it I'm surprised to see that it makes su...

The so called "slipper clutch" on bikes which is designed to minimize rear wheel slippage with the throttle closed has been debated for years by motorcycle drag racers. For the most part the consensus is that it makes it more difficult to get a smooth launch though one turbo builder I know...

That's the idea based on the video but now that I think about it that was more about concussion resistance than shrapnel penetration. Correct? If so, then kevlar mixed with the poly would be logical. Well the average hot poly formula that I spray has about a 2500 psi tensile strength at about .080&...

I have a possible application. Per rules I am building an aluminum catch pan to go around the oil pan area. Not using a conventional diaper. I was going to go fairly thick on the aluminum but might be able to back it down a little with this stuff perhaps. Are you making the pan thick to prevent par...

Re: Think there is any merit to this idea?

Interesting idea but I can think of a few drawbacks off the top of my head. The cost being #1. How do you "paint" a trans case to have it retain any fluid and yet still be servicable. This wouldn't really solve the problem when things go really bad and inspection windows are added to bloc...

Or am I missing something here?
It would add a little weight - think of it as a .080" thick coat of paint.

Thick film elastomeric - any merit to this idea?

One of the things I do is apply thick film elastomeric materials for waterproofing, protection and so forth. One of the newer uses for this material is as blast mitigation for the military. Check this video out: http://www.polyurea.com/spps/ahpg.cfm?spgid=101. Not being in the mood to remove and dis...

I've heard that RHS makes a good head. I've also kinked around the 351c 4v or Boss (if you can find them) heads.

Well, I've got time for research while I weld up the tubes.

A B/ND is an injected 410" powered methanol front engine Dragster.

SB Ford iron head recommendations?

I'm starting on a B/ND project and have decided to run a small block Ford. Anyone have any experience with or recommendations for iron race heads for this engine?
