What I get is .5 ohms for primary, 2.8k ohms for secondary. Is this normal or is the coil going bad or is bad? I did email MSD. They finally r...

Re: How big a cam with this setup for 355 SBC?

I like the last recommendation, installed on a 102-103... You don't have a ton of compression but you do have the gear and converter to make it work. Trmnatr, what springs are you getting away with on that cam and steel valve? OP could have 954 springs which would put him 220/540 at best with steel...

I have called a few (i.e., what I think are reputable cam companies) and received a broad range of profiles, e.g. a 260-268 on a 108 LSA @ .50 with .630 lift, to 240-250 duration on 110 LSA – and a couple in between.

How big a cam with this setup for 355 SBC?

The car is a 70 Camaro (3600 with me in it); 355 SBC, 10:8 compression; 1:5 roller rockers; Dart Pro One Aluminium heads/200 intak...

My bad.....a little surprised with the 850 or better custom carb but checked where you are coming from..... "A key to making the large carb work on the small-displacement engine without bogging is the secondary linkage. Those familiar with Holleys will notice the huge linkage for the secondarie...

Tweaking 355 sbc for 2-3 tenths

i'd try a 650 dp on a 2 inch spacer ,,, or a 1 " 4 hole spacer on top of a 1" open spacer that much jet in a 750 looks fat to me ,,, how do the plugs look ? have you played with the carb any before ? what results ? a stock vic jr is tiny at the intake flange , you could try setting the va...
