Re: Someone please sell me an SVO R302 wet sump block!
...the R302 looks just like a regular 302 block. Not quite true. I can spot one in a second... The R302 has water-jacket freeze plugs on the front of each bank... as well as only TWO freeze plugs on either side of the block. It's the A4 which looks almost identical to stock, with no freeze plugs on...

Re: *Brain tease*Spring pressure and hydraulic lifters on a Ford
I don't think it's the springs. And although I'd like to blame the cheap chinese junk he bought... I don't think it's the problem either. It revs on out in low, but hangs in high on the dyno? Only real change is the load seen by the computer... Is he maybe running a Mass Air meter and "pegging&...

Re: Turbo a 460
A 460 Gas and a 460 Diesel will not use the same turbocharger sizes... unless you wanna keep that gas motor under 3000 RPM. You will most likely need something in the 72-76mm compressor wheel size "minimum" and I don't think any of the T4 turbine wheels would be a good idea. As for new, a ...

Re: comp cam lobes for a turbo application
I agree 100% with Daryl (revolutionary). What turbos are you running and how fast do you need it to ET?
You might be surprised how conservative a cam you can get away with...

Re: deburring piston tops
I smoothed out the sharp edges on my SBF Ross pistons, but not so much that it hurt my already low 8.5:1 compression. I paid the most attention to the sharp edge "HOT SPOT" where the valve relief meets the ringland (to the left in this pic). I've seen little corners like that melt off in h...
