Lower the tranfers
That simple.
thats why i suggest a transfer port that also raises with the variable exhaust valve , should just be a linkage concern , with an oring seal

Re: power valve circuit myths

If the power valve opens at 8.5 and he's idling at 6, the valve will sit there open but not flowing until there's enough depression to draw from the boosters, correct? With the power valve busted or open , it can make the idle circuit richer ,, those that dont believe this must not have ever had it...

It richens the idle circuit ,, it applies more head pressure to the mainwell that feeds the IFR , makes it easier for the siphon effect to draw fuel

Re: 4 stroke killin' 2 stroke idea

One thing about 2 stroke moto x is that it is hard, thats what made it good. The riders now dont look past 15 ,, Tee ball is free to watch if i want to watch kids,, same thing with whats going on in nascar and NHRA ,, if a 18 yo girl can beat a seasoned vet, something is wrong ,, IMO

Re: 4 stroke killin' 2 stroke idea

What about a twin carb 125 cc 2 stroke to pounce on the 250cc 4 strokes 1 carb feeds the case via a rotary valve that is smaller to pick up low speed response ( probably a EFI deal now but smaller ) that opens first in the operation of the throttle , then a 2nd carb or EFI opens feeding a typical r...

Re: rear power valve on HP holley should i run one ?

What was the diameter of the hole behind the power valve ? Adjusting for a large cam and headers is iffy ,, it's airflow sensitive , and idle vacuum sensitive ,, I'm always a wait and see what it likes before I make a change myself

Re: rear power valve on HP holley should i run one ?

I tried running a power valve secondary on an 4781 and it bogged terrible at the track. It didn't show up on the street because the tires were already spinning before I got to wot. I suspected the power valve took too long to open and feed fuel. It has to be sized correctly and jetting adjusted ,, ...
