Re: Kwik Way LMF 6469 Crankshaft Polisher
I use my polisher several times a week, every week. Not always on crankshafts but it does get used. Don't know exactly which one you have but would venture to say it is worth doing something with. What size belts does it use ? Picture ?

Re: windsor torino build ideas?
wallet is decent sized,I'm thinking he will never turn it over 4000 to 5000 rpm and to be honest stock it is rated at 138hp Thats net HP. Probably around 200 (?) dyno if I had to guess. Put a set of flat top pistons in it to get the compression up and a mild cam and 300 should be easy. Add a decent...

Re: How can I get this to seal?
The carb base is flat. The manifold flange is flat except for that eroded area on the left side. I'm going to try the $10 solution first (RTV). Personally I would use JB Weld or some other epoxy. Put on a thin layer with a plastic spatula and let it set up then use a nice flat file and go over it. ...

Re: Solid roller spring suggestions please
I would look through a few cam catalogs online and find cams similar to that and see what they are recommending.

Re: SBC oversize cam bearings
I found ACL Camshaft Bearings Set Chev. V8, 305-350-400, STD 5C004BS that are 2.040 but no oil holes anyone tried these ? Looked in my 2007 ACL book this morning and they are listed in the performance section. I have used some ACL bearings in the past and they were fine. Looks like there is a guy o...

Re: Anyone know of a source of springs for distributors
Are there only a few numbers that you need or a large assortment ? If it is a limited number and you know or can measure the specs then McMaster might be a source. I did a quick google search and there appears to be plenty of them on E-bay also but you need to know what Delco numbers you need.

Re: Any of you guys have an F.E. Ford manual flywheel sitting around ?
The factory spec for the crankshaft pilot diameter is 2.499/2.500, add what ever clearance you want to it. Do you have that dimension in print somewhere ? The flywheel I have (new billet) measures 2.495" The flywheel manufacturer insists that is correct but it obviously is not. What is really ...

Any of you guys have an F.E. Ford manual flywheel sitting around ?
If you do could you measure the id of the center hole where it centers on the crankshaft ? I would prefer a factory Ford one but aftermarket is fine as long as you know it goes on the crank properly. I need a pretty accurate measurement. Within .001 if possible. I am having a "disagreement"...
