Re: TV dish bill?
I had Roku as well as Sling. As long as you have good internet speeds they work well for most of the content. Live HD streaming requires quite a bit of bandwidth.

Re: Venting about so called "builders"
I have to say that over the years I acquired a lot of customers who were tired of getting screwed over. While everyone is capable of making a mistake there's a big difference between a mistake and a pattern.

Re: Mopar SS springs or Caltracs ??
Unless you're trying to squeeze out every last tenth I would skip the Caltracs and use what Mother Mopar gave you. The original Caltrac setup was built by John Calvert for a 68 Mustang stock eliminator car. Like most non Chrysler leaf spring cars the Fords have the rear end mounted in the center of...

Re: Broke connecting rod?
Were both valves in that cylinder still intact even if bent? Both valves were bent but not broke. no piston to valve issues with other cylinders So if both valves were intact ( just bent) in that chamber and looking at the top of the piston I would say something entered the chamber. Lots of impact ...

Re: How much does average guy leave on the table vs. pro in mundane build?
I'm in the maybe 20-30hp camp depending on the money spent. Lets say a hobbyist who isn't a pure newbie (maybe they've built a couple of previous engines) was spending $3500 on an engine and had a block and a crank to start with. He was farming out the machine work but doing the part selection and a...

Re: Dodge Demon VS Corvette ZR1
Is high hp useable in the States these days ? Over here it's really frustrating. Even my DD with 150 hp is too much at the speeds were allowed to drive here, the speed bumps, the speed camera's, the red lights,.... much easier...especially is the less populated areas of the country. There are stret...

If you have a smartphone download the Google translate app. The app will do voice translation as well as photos not to mention the usual typed words.

Re: How do you calibrate a flow bench
When I purchased a digital measuring system for my homemade bench I got a plate with a hole in it that the instructions say flows 120 CFM so I laid it on my head deck and adjusted for 120 CFM @ 28" and put it away. Once in a while I check it and it is always good :) The bench is always consist...

Re: Clipping oil ring expanders for reduced tension?
We used to do this all the time on our stocker engines. That and back cutting. Today it's available over the counter on many sizes. It's pretty amazing using a fish scale how close to the advertised force they are.
