Re: Camshaft bore bushing
It was the #3 roller bearing that kept coming out and this past time the #4 was on its way out.Not really sure how the camshaft became bent but I know I’ve had over 20 years. And I remember was the the engine back fired so bad it broke intake top.

Re: Speedmaster block Quality in 2023
I remember when edelbrock stuff had to be fix after. But that was when there where actual machine shops and not engine shops.Back in the eighties and nineties there were a lot stuff that had to be fixed after you bought it.But you have to talk with people that are not 30-40 years old about it.So none...

Re: BBC 505 1 pc Rear main seal Rubber or Viton?
I just don’t think you will have a main seal problem with any of the seal you buy for a Chevy engine there are so many made of different materials over the years. If you were talking about a small block ford I would have concerns because for the most part you only have one to chose from either 2 piec...

Re: Got my 306 on the engine dyno today
Wow that torque and hp curve are really close to one another seems like a torque converter will be hard to get and rpm after the shift will be no drop.Seem like it would like manual transmission better. But good power for a small cid engine.

Re: If you can't compress a liquid, how does a water pump even work?
Because most water pumps use a centrifugal impeller and nozzle at the discharge to restrict the flow so that pressure can build and only allow water under pressure to leave the pump. They also need a suction head on the inlet to get them started building pressure.(Net positive suction head)
