Re: Bushed roller Lifter and roller cam Bearings
Arguments both ways on roller cam bearings vs. babbit, but I run them in my junk. As to the lifters, bigger lifter means bigger wheel and slower wheel speed. Both pluses. Biggest question I'd have is do you have enough material around the lifter bores to accept the bushings? You said 409, so I'm as...

Re: 1575 valvesprings
I wonder why they don't have it on the PAC web site.
They have 2 1500's but they have been discontinued.
I say stick with the PSI springs, as warpspeed said there the best.

Re: Comp Cams Dual Conical SR Valve Springs
I think you would be better off with a smaller diameter PSI springs That spring is 1.442" at the top, and 1.657" at the bottom. It's 150 @2.00", 630 @1.200", and a 1.115" Coilbind You'd be better off, going with a spring that gets the overall weight of the spring down. PSI ...

Re: EMC 289
Nice build and congrats!!
Would make a nice engine in our XR GT FALCONS down under!
Interesting on the hydraulic roller cam with solid lifters...........how reliable would it be in a street car?
Would you add more exhaust duration if you made a cam change?......if so how much more?

Hey Bob, no i havnt, do you have a link. Was it a typical stroker 351 or a 400 block? Im guessing stroker?

Using a factory 2 bolt pillow clevo block with factory cast iron heads, flat tappet cam just made an impressive 603 ft lbs and 759 hp on pump gas https://www.facebook.com/jason...

Re: engine masters live feed?
Thanks, Walter. Good thing I wasn't handicapping this like a horse race; I'd lost big bucks. Who'da thunk a Ford FE would win it and Kaase's BBC would be behind the FE and a SBF? And there's a BBF 385 scoring lower than a Y-block and two FEs. And what's with not a single BBM or SBM competing? No Ol...

Re: engine masters live feed?
What was the issue with Kaase's engine? There were no issues that anyone could see ... simply not a high enough score. It said on the hotrod site he was down 60-70hp down from pre contest testing.........just curious if something went a miss. I like those Jesel rockers he had on the BBC.......also ...

Re: 904 (903) Mech lifters and various wheel size
You need to check, to see what size roller follower, those profiles were designed for. If they're designed for a .750" diameter, and you put a .820" roller on it, the acceleration rate(off the seat, and back on the seat) will be increased. This could cause increased pushrod flex and/or pr...
