Before you buy anything, be sure to price out all the machine work etc.. don't go buying a comp engine, only to discard almost everything and then spend big bucks to get the block straighted out...(and that's if all is well) Before you know it, you'll be within a few hundred bucks of all new... just...

Super-sucker 4500 top 4150 adapter....??

What's the scoop on the super-sucker style adapter plated for 4500 to 4150 intake? Worth while or just use the funnel style adapter?

I'd like to try one, where is a good source for this style adapter?

thanks

so when do you use the 4500...?

at what hp/rpm... ?? some kind of rule of thumb?

any down side to the 4500? or is it better to stay with the 4150 unless absolute necessary??

4500 vs 4150 same CFM .. any advantage to either

All things being equal, does a dominator style carb have have any kind of advantage if same cfm.

That is to say will a 1000cfm 4500 make any more power then a 1000cfm 4150 (1000 cfm just piced as example)

And is there a difference in metering blocks from one to the other?

thanks

How much are a set of ultra light pistons vs. a set of cast? How much is a sheet metal intake manifold vs. a cast intake? Weber Power Plates are a great value. You get what you pay for with them. Wanna make more average power over a broader rpm range than Holley stuff? What's that worth if you race...

Went through that entire thread. Lots of babbling about fuel "exploding" under rings but no science. Most of them claim "rich condition started problem, then symptoms show up after I leaned it." Uh huh. Babbling?? I've found a wealth of information and tons of help with guys tha...

Buy a decent set of single adjustable shocks from strange etc. (just leave the coil off), You will then be able to control your suspension movement and "hit". You wont regret it!

No prize yet, and a half a atta boy, but its still skippin at shift points and high rpm , so dont celebrate just yet. TPS and fuel pressure and timing change changes made it slightly less pronounced. BUT its there alive and kicking. I am looking to shim those valves springs You didn't replace it, b...

I would try replacing the TPS sensor

Had similar problems and this fixed it...it wouldn't adjust the fuel fast enough or at all in certain "zones" on the sensor.

let us know what you find.
