the GT-40P or X heads are the two you should look at if you need to stay stock.

But....don't think of them as "pistons"...think of them as "fuses".... :D :D

TRW got out of the piston business 15 or 20 years ago.......

The newer Federal-Mogul/Speed Pro's are made in India.

I'd rather see you use a Dart Sportsman...but, other than that, I'm with Duane. There is no magic that will make the stock block live in this application.

Not unless you screw the pooch on the tuneup. Mark: appreciate the response. What is the "right tune"? Do you go by EGT's, AF ratio, or what? I know about the idea that a tune that is too rich runs the risk of burning backward through the top ring groove into the valve pocket and may have...

Assuming a forged piston .230 is fine.
