These engines were made so caddy could boast cubes in that era. It would be ok for me as I understand their limitations but caddys were a highway barge and I don't even recall seeing any towing. Light duty engine.

Once upon a time- I had the same choice, I decided to go with a 355cid...worked OK, had an opportunity to revisit that decision later and corrected it with a crank and pistons- better choice that time.

Pontiac had a long line of engines in those decades- why go Olds? Which engine had more potential?

Edelbrock used this manifold on the old mpfi conversion kit for tbi- worked well for me.

Mine wouldn't put a warranty on his engine without the 'Z' pump.

Mine is just plain oversized- which takes out a few mufflers I would have tried. Talk to Mufflerman on YB he was helpful to me. Just pick a reasonable ratio and let Mr Jones do the rest- why complicate?
