RPM Performer all the way. In my testing back in the 90's when the RPM came out it was 3 tenths quicker and 2 mph faster then a Performer 2.0 that had the port opening matched to a 781 BBC head.

Wouldn't it just be cheaper to make some 409 valve cover adapter plates to make a look-a-like 409 engine. Hell the LS crowd does this all the time as those engines valve covers are pretty fugly
