Re: Dual Plane Dual Quad
In 1963 pontiac 421SD 859 intake was a dual plane and ran very well. Also in 63 they released the "Bathtub" tunnel ram intake.Tom

Re: Dual Quad tuning tips?
I have been running 2-4s since 1962,on a pontiac but no matter if a dual plane, single plane or tunnel ram they drive great on the front venturies of the rear carbs.I only went solid when racing the car.A set of factory med riser holleys would have been perfect.KISS seems to always work out.FWIW,Tom

Re: Jb weld
The advantage of Splashzone is you mix the 2 parts wet.I usually get a 5 gal bucket of water and do a golfball size of the 2 equal parts.I put my hand under water and work it until it becomes the green color.Remember it is a marine epoxy made to setup underwater. It is very EZ to form and smooth with...

Re: Dumb history question for the carb guys
FYI,when talking about size of carbs.Carter had a 930 CFM 3bbl carb in 1963 for the Super Speedway Pontiac cars. They had a special intake to allow the "trapdoor"blade to open.I have owned a few of them over the years.FWIW,Tom
