Tilt the pan 30 or 45 degrees.
I've got no idea what acceleration it takes to move your lube to those angles, but it happens and it isn't very pretty. Good luck.

Gauge test, with hose/tubing & water & ladder for 10 feet of head should be 4.3 PSI.
I don't know about scientific standard temperature & barometric pressure.

Doesn't anyone just put down/weld a few beads out there, on the circumference and/or flank?

Every alum. head really crushes that poor HG every heat cycle and loosens up unless it has long stretchy TTY bolts, real TTY, not just using the torque-angle tightening method.
